This would be the final appearance of the AMG Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.8.

 

The touring car race was a support race for the Interserie Sportscar main event and AMG entered the Mercedes-Benz as car #56 driven by Hans Heyer - he would take the car to a class victory.
